3,950-3947 BBY, The Great Force Genocide
3,951 saw the end of the Old Sith Wars, a period of wars beginning with the Great Droid Revolution in 4,015 and ending with the Jedi Exile's Destruction of Malachor V in 3,951. After almost sixty-four years of war, the nearly destroyed Galactic Republic and the almost extinct Jedi Order had just barely survived. They said goodbye to the Mandalorian Wars, the Jedi, Onderon, and Sith Civil Wars as well as the Dark and Beast Wars.
This also marked the end of what was known as the First Jedi Purge.
The Republic took a heavy sigh and rested, believing that their most dangerous threats—the Mandalorians, the Krath, and the Sith—were gone. Now was the time to rebuild their shattered realm and emerge even stronger than they had been before.
The Jedi had also seen more than its fair share of troubles, with such things as the Padawan Massacre of Taris during 3,964, the Jedi Civil War and the Purge that left them all but a memory. With their numbers rekindled by the Jedi Exile, she left her followers—The Lost Jedi—in charge of rebuilding their Order while she followed Revan to the Unknown Regions.
The Republic has regained control of the Sith controlled planets it lost, and the Jedi now have become a stable force with many trainees, though they are still spread thin on Masters. Now is the time where many are tending to the wounds left and rebuilding their strongholds.
However, diplomats of a group known as the Jal Shey have reported members of theirs being bullied by the Jedi Council, being forced to be recorded and given registration numbers. Similar reports have been given by the Order of Shasa and on Onderon, a few of their noble youths have come up missing, namely those rumored to have been interested in the history of the Krath.
Fingers have been pointed at a covert group of Jedi, much like the Jedi Covenant of old that had caused the Padawan Massacre. The Jedi, knowing nothing about this, have nothing to do but to try to find who or what is doing this without endangering their own few numbers. Their reluctance only furthers the blame, and the word on everyone's lips is genocide.
More rumors spread of mills and camps where old sects of Mandalorians bent of revenge are housing the missing and tortured Force Sensitives. Be it true or no, surviving Mandalorians are being reguarded with little respect and high suspicion, many being barred from public areas, being refused service, and even being arrested by the Republic for whatever violations they can find.
Times have become ruled by fear where the lines are blurred and many are willing to believe anything just to ease their worry. None are safe from this group of Force fanatics that seem to prey on anything, man, woman, or child.
