He is likable, but will always work for the greater good, even against the wishes of the counsel, and is always willing to risk everything to help. He still feels a ping of regret over the loss of his former master, which is why, to this day, he won't accept a padawan under him. History: He was born in Nar Shadda, in the refugee sector, raised by a single mom, but at the tender age of eight, was culled, for lack of a better word, by the Jedi order for his force sensitivity. He learned force control for many years, and when he was sixteen, he was given the parts, minus a crystal, to make his first light saber, and was escorted to a small cave on Dantooine. He and a small group of initiates were to find the way to the back, where, they were told, was a mass of light saber crystals.
Ra'esh, more bold than some of them, was the fist to make way into the large cavern, where he saw the ruins of many sabers. Smiling, and with an idea, he looked at his parts, and collected enough other parts from the ruins to make another saber. He looked around the cavern, and was drawn to two crystals. He picked them up and held them to a light, one was emerald green, and the other a darker green, seeming to him to represent his place of origin, Ryloth, which has one side of the globe in daylight, the other always in darkness.
He was the first out of the cave, and once they all came back, was escorted back to the training facilities, where he made his two sabers. The teacher, an old man, laughed kindly when he saw Ra'esh make two sabers. "I knew you felt the calling of two sabers. Turn them on, let us see the fruits of your labor." Ra'esh turned them on, heard the classic hum of the saber. "Very well done, young learner." the old man said, now for you to become a padawan."
Two years later, the padawan Ra'esh was in Tatooine, now age eighteen, and near the end of his padawan title, ready to become a true Jedi. His master, a Correlian human he called Master John, was looking for an infamous man, known for his ring of drug dealing in three planets, and Ra'esh was to come along, and learn how to safely apprehend a criminal. However, this criminal was working for a Dark Lord, who helped conceal his presence, allowing him to get the drop on Ra'esh's Master, killing him.
The criminal then tried to fire on Ra'esh, but Ra'esh deflected the bolt back at the man, killing him. Ra'esh fled back to the Jedi base, the mission a failure. However, his instinctual use of the force, and his wise judgment to retreat was proof enough for the council, who promoted Ra'esh to Jedi.
From then on, Ra'esh was on many minor missions, often by himself or with a colleague, and was recognized by the council to be wise and strong in the light side of the force, and he was invited to join the Counsel, and Ra'esh agreed, at the age of twenty-eight.
